Purpose:

Key responsibility is to drive growth in specific industry verticals by conducting cross-selling activities, managing customer relationships and providing timely support to ensure sales targets are met.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sales plan for assigned verticals identifying potential clients, forecasting market trends and highlighting customer requirements.
  • Monitor sales targets at the territory/vertical level on a weekly basis, highlight deviations and initiate corrective action as required.
  • Ensure adherence to sales budgets at the territory level and identify opportunities for integrated solutions involving products systems.
  • Negotiate and finalize terms with clients regarding product specifications, payment terms and timelines obtaining approval from reporting managers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate deep understanding of their needs and direct swift resolution of any customer queries.
  • Liaise with operations teams to ensure execution of orders within predefined timelines and criteria.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and update concerned departments about changes in order specifications ensuring timely collections from clients as per contractual agreements.
  • Dispatch goods to client sites according to delivery schedules adhering to policies and processes to enhance response quality and minimize response time to customer queries.
  • Establish service centers or identify partner agencies for quick after-sales services provide technical support to customers on after-sales related issues record and resolve customer complaints within predefined timelines.
  • Log and update all customer interaction activities in appropriate systems respond promptly to customer queries and issues during sales finalization execution or post-execution phases.
  • Liaise with distributors and dealers in the territory and escalate significant issues to superiors effectively manage dealer-related activities such as stock booking invoice raising and payments.
  • Stay updated with territory developments and provide data to marketing teams on potential opportunities for expansion/diversification into new markets/geographies.
