Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee culinary operations in all kitchens, ensuring high-quality food products and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Plan, prepare, and implement menus, including seasonal specials and à la carte dishes.
  • Maintain HACCP standards and ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen workstations and tools.
  • Lead a team of cooks and other kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to achieve maximum outlet profit.
  • Develop and implement new recipes, menu items, and promotions to drive sales and enhance the culinary experience.
  • Collaborate with the chef and other department heads to determine menu selections and specials that meet guest needs and business objectives.
  • Review timesheets to ensure accurate recording of work hours and meal breaks.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the culinary team to discuss performance, provide feedback, and set goals.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to hotel rules and regulations, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate production, organize events, and participate in quality initiatives to maintain high standards of culinary excellence.
  • Monitor food quality and quantity, making adjustments as needed to ensure efficient usage of ingredients.
  • Adhere to established protocols for maintaining kitchen equipment, appliances, and tools.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar position in a reputable hospitality organization.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary knowledge, including menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen management.
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to control costs, manage inventory, and maintain high levels of quality and service.
  • Proficient in using culinary software and technology to streamline kitchen operations.
  • Knowledgeable about local health and safety regulations, HACCP standards, and food handling practices.
  • Ability to think creatively, innovate, and adapt to changing culinary trends and business needs.
