Job Overview:

As a Culinary Team Member, you will oversee and coordinate daily operations of food preparation and presentation across various venues on our ships.

This role is ideal for individuals with prior experience in upscale culinary settings. As a CDP 3, you will be responsible for developing your skills to become a future leader in the culinary department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise daily workstation functions and assign tasks to team members.
  2. Ensure all food items are prepared according to corporate standards and presented to guests in a timely manner.
  3. Train entry-level cooks and chefs to enhance their performance and prepare them for potential advancement opportunities.
  4. Maintain accurate inventory records and submit requisitions for necessary supplies.
  5. Comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
  6. Stay up-to-date with equipment maintenance and report any issues to supervisors.
  7. Foster teamwork and collaboration among galley personnel to achieve exceptional guest satisfaction.
  8. Assist in cleaning workstations during and after meal service.
  9. Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other work-related activities as required.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service.
  • Prior experience as Chef De Partie/Demi Chef De Partie is highly advantageous.
  • Culinary school degree is mandatory.
  • Strong management skills in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including debits/credits, adjusting entries, and corrections.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence effectively.
