Key Technical Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced technical professional to oversee the execution of multiple game development projects. This key role combines technical ownership, leadership, and collaboration to ensure high-quality delivery, scalability, and innovation.

As a technical leader, you will be responsible for fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among Unity and Unreal developers, conducting technical training, code reviews, and onboarding programs to strengthen capabilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage Unity and Unreal developers, with a focus on building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies for technical training, code reviews, and onboarding programs to strengthen the skills and expertise of your team.
    • Work closely with senior engineers to develop their leadership skills and ownership, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to succeed.
  • Project Oversight & Delivery:
    • Oversee the technical design, development, and delivery of 4+ concurrent projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion within budget.
    • Validate project estimations, milestone sequencing, and change requests for accuracy and feasibility, identifying and mitigating technical risks early.
    • Ensure adherence to coding standards, architecture principles, and best practices, enforcing architectural consistency and resolving high-level technical issues.
  • Code Quality & Architecture:
    • Conduct in-depth code reviews to ensure high-quality code and enforce architectural consistency, resolving technical issues and making final trade-off decisions.
    • Drive reusability by creating and integrating reusable modules, plugins, and frameworks, enhancing efficiency and reducing technical debt.
  • Innovation & Process Improvement:
    • Evaluate emerging tools and technologies, including AI/ML, and adopt innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and improve workflows.
    • Continuously improve documentation, standards, and workflows for scalability, collaborating with business stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
  • Client & Business Engagement:
    • Partner with business development to provide technical inputs and estimates, participating in client calls to clarify requirements and address technical concerns.
    • Conduct technical demonstrations and evaluate test projects, providing strategic insights to inform business decisions.
  • Strategic Contribution:
    • Shape technology roadmaps and contribute to the expansion of new service areas, staying up-to-date with industry trends, competitor practices, and gaming technology advancements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation, leveraging technical expertise to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in game development with at least 4 years in leadership/management.
  • Delivered 10+ successful projects across mobile, PC, console, or VR/AR platforms.
  • Strong expertise in Unity (C#) and working knowledge of Unreal Engine (C++/Blueprints).
  • Experience with multiplayer games (turn-based & real-time), networking, and client-server systems.
  • Skilled in performance optimization, debugging, and profiling.
  • Proficiency with version control (Git/Perforce) and project management tools (Jira, Trello).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
