About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong background in accounting and taxation to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements for clients.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial data regularly.
- Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing reports.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Ensure compliance with US tax regulations, filing deadlines, and reporting requirements.
- Assist clients with tax planning, minimizing tax liabilities while maximizing legal deductions.
- Review and analyze tax notices and correspondence, assisting clients with resolution.
- Support clients with compliance requirements related to IRS, state agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide insights on withholding taxes, foreign investments, and treaty benefits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or EA qualification preferred but not mandatory.
- Candidates pursuing CPA/EA are welcome.
- 0-3 years of experience in US bookkeeping, tax preparation, or financial compliance.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific tax laws.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, TurboTax, Lacerte).
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and US reporting standards.
