A payroll professional is required to ensure accurate and timely compensation. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in payroll processing, a solid understanding of payroll cycles and administrative processes.
About the Role:This position involves thorough review of timesheets, verification of hours worked, leave taken, and overtime to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring timesheet processing for specific regions or clients is carried out with precision and timeliness.
Maintaining data integrity, avoiding errors, and ensuring all payroll-related information is handled efficiently and confidentially are crucial aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Timesheet Checking: Thoroughly review timesheets submitted on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis, verifying hours worked, leave taken, and overtime to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Mailbox Management: Manage the payroll department's mailbox, ensuring timely responses to queries, organizing incoming timesheets and documents, and maintaining a clean communication flow.
- Data Accuracy: Double-check all data entries for inconsistencies or errors, being vigilant in spotting discrepancies and ensuring accuracy before processing.
- Error-Free Processing: Maintain flawless records by accurately saving timesheets and updating Excel trackers, cross-verifying data and ensuring files are organized and up to date.
- Special Instructions: Identify and communicate any special payroll instructions to the payroll team to ensure correct application during processing.
- Invoice Support: Assist in preparing supporting documentation for client invoices, ensuring necessary timesheet and payroll data is available and correctly formatted.
- Record Maintenance: Update and maintain payroll records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and stored securely for future reference and audits.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive employee information with strict confidentiality and follow data protection protocols to safeguard payroll data.
- Team Contribution: Work closely with other team members to meet deadlines and support shared goals, contributing to smooth payroll operations and a positive team environment.
- Policy Adherence: Follow internal policies and procedures related to payroll processing and suggest improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Report Assistance: Support the Payroll Supervisor by preparing and updating various reports, contributing to informed decision-making.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar corporate role.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify inconsistencies, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to spot errors and ensure accuracy in payroll records.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, responding to queries, and documenting processes clearly.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation.
- Team Player: Comfortable working in a collaborative environment, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a positive team culture.
- Confidentiality: Demonstrate integrity and discretion when handling sensitive payroll and employee information.
