Job Title: Database Administrator - SQL

We are seeking an experienced database administrator to lead our high-performing team.

This role involves managing large databases using MS-SQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Install, upgrade, and migrate SQL servers.
  • Apply patches or service packs for SQL Server.
  • Configure high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Set up automated alerts to notify the team of issues.
  • Troubleshoot locking problems, including deadlocks, blocking, and lock timeouts.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize servers based on application demands.
  • Deploy database objects to integration, QA, UAT, and production environments.
  • Provide day-to-day support for high-availability SQL Server databases, identifying root causes of production problems.
  • Work on performance tuning, creating missing indexes.
  • Experience in scripting using Perl, PowerShell, AWS, and Azure.
