Job Title: Senior Database Architect

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable database architectures. As a Senior Database Architect, you will play a key role in shaping our data management strategy and ensuring seamless integration across various systems.

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL DBA with 7+ years of hands-on experience in production environments.
  • You should have deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, architecture, and tuning.
  • A strong understanding of HA and replication solutions (Patroni, repmgr) is also required.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and automation is expected.
  • Solid understanding of database security and compliance best practices is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable database architectures for high-availability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain database administration scripts, tools, and documentation.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and recoverability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with MySQL architecture and installation is a plus.
  • You should be able to perform MySQL backup and restore operations.
  • Manage MySQL users, roles, and permissions.
  • Setup and troubleshoot MySQL replication.
