Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining critical Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Your primary focus will be on ensuring the availability and performance of these systems for our clients.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, cloud migration experience, and excellent communication abilities. You will work closely with clients across various Oracle versions and platforms, developing and sustaining their operational readiness in both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuous engagement with assigned clients across various Oracle versions and platforms.
  • Development and sustainment of multiple clients' operational readiness (security, health, and performance) for both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments.
  • Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata systems, manage Oracle databases on OCI, and lead end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions, monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automate database operations using scripting, collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of production database support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems, Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard, ERP systems on Oracle databases (JDE/E1 preferred).
  • Strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution, UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required; OCI certifications preferred.
