Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join our organization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and experience in managing and supporting MS SQL Database. He/she should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality database solutions, ensuring data security, integrity, and availability.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of multiple MS SQL databases. Key responsibilities include:

  • Database monitoring, backup, and recovery
  • Implementing and maintaining database configurations
  • Optimizing database performance
  • Providing timely and efficient support to internal stakeholders on database-related issues
  • Maintaining database documentation and version control
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of database changes
  • Performing regular health checks on databases and implementing corrective actions as necessary

Additionally, he/she will work closely with other teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes that enhance overall system efficiency.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server Administration
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with backup and recovery tools such as SQL Server Backup and Microsoft Azure Recovery Services
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins or Docker
  • Experience with database virtualization tools such as VMware vSphere
