Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure PostgreSQL Engineer to join our team.

This role involves working with a global team to manage and perform technical controls across various databases.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Azure PostgreSQL, SQL Server Application DBA tasks, and data governance best practices.

  • Database Management: Ensure robust database management and optimization using Azure PostgreSQL and SQL Server technologies.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control functionality for business rules (logic) in database.
  • Pipeline Development: Design, build, develop, and manage pipelines using Database Technologies.
  • Migration: Understand Database Technologies and migrate business rules from one DB technology to another.
  • Data Solutions: Collaborate closely with the Application and Databricks team members to develop robust data solutions that support security initiatives.
  • Data Processes: Implement, monitor, and optimize data processes ensuring adherence to security and data governance best practices.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implementation of monitoring and logging processes using Azure database capabilities.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues ensuring data quality and accessibility.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

  • English Language: Excellent command of English language.
  • Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in managing Database driven application and pipeline development using Azure PostgreSQL and SQL Server Database.
  • Security Principles: Strong understanding of security principles in the context of data.
  • Data Transformations: Ability to write, debug, and optimize data transformations and datasets.
  • ETL Solutions: Extensive experience in designing and implementing ETL solutions using Azure Database or similar technologies.
  • CI/CD: Proficiency with CI/CD set for database objects release management.

  • Agile Development Process: Experience working in Agile (Scrum, Kanban etc..) development process.
