Director of Operations for PLM Services

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead and grow our PLM IT services operation. This role requires deep expertise in domain knowledge, people management, customer relationships, and strategic business acumen. The successful candidate will be responsible for building operational capabilities, driving innovation, scaling delivery, and ensuring customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership
  • Define the strategic roadmap for the PLM operation aligned with company goals.
  • Build, manage, and scale operational capabilities including people, solutions, tools, and processes.
  • Establish operational excellence within the team.
  • Strengthen the PLM operation by enhancing offerings, reusable assets, and capabilities.
  • Manage the operation (multiple projects) with minimal dependency on top management.

Skill Requirements

  • Experience Range- Min 15 to 25 years
  • Experience in IT services with at least 5 years in Project/Practice Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling operations or Centers of Excellence (COEs).
  • Optional: Strong background in one or more PLM platforms (e.g., 3DEXPERIENCE, Aras Innovator, Windchill, Teamcenter).
  • Deep understanding of delivery and people management across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and demonstrated executive presence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Engineering or Technology graduate; MBA preferred.
