Senior Placement and Corporate Engagement Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Placement and Corporate Engagement Leader to lead our Placement & Corporate Interface function. This leadership role requires a strategic mindset, strong corporate network, and ability to drive results.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building and sustaining relationships with top recruiters, ensuring stellar placement outcomes, and enhancing the industry presence of the institute.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Design and implement placement strategies that align with the institute's vision and market trends.
  2. Corporate Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with top-tier companies, startups, and public sector enterprises for placements, internships, and live projects.
  3. Placement Operations: Oversee the entire placement process, from pre-placement talks to final offers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for both recruiters and students.
  4. Student Readiness: Work closely with faculty and training partners to groom students to meet industry expectations. This includes pre-placement training on resume building, interview prep, and group discussion practice.
  5. Alumni Engagement: Leverage the alumni network for placement support, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
  6. Analytics & Reporting: Track placement metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present insights to leadership and stakeholders.

Quantitative Targets:

  • Ensure the placement of 360 students for final placements and 360 students for summer internships.
  • Increase the median salary of the placed batch compared to the previous year.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Postgraduate degree (preferably an MBA or equivalent) from a reputed institution.
  2. 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate relations, placements, business development, or HR, ideally within a reputed academic institution or corporate setting.
  3. Strong network across various industries (FMCG, BFSI, IT/ITES, Consulting, Manufacturing, etc.).
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  5. A strategic thinker with a result-oriented approach.
  6. Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
