Job Description – Placement Manager (Chennai, South India)

Position: Placement Manager - South

Designation: Assistant Manager/Manager

Location: Chennai (covering South India Institutes)

Department: VLCC Skills – Training & Placements

Reporting To: Head – HR

Experience: 4–8 years

Role Overview

We are seeking a Placement Manager to build and strengthen industry linkages for student placements across South India. The role is open to HR professionals with recruitment/TA background or direct placement aggregators who have worked across multiple sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong employer networks and the ability to deliver on placement targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & maintain strong relationships with employers across beauty, wellness, healthcare, hospitality, retail, and allied industries .
  • Organize and manage campus placement drives, job fairs, and employer engagement sessions .
  • Collaborate with Centre Heads and trainers to align student skills with market needs.
  • Guide students in resume preparation, interview readiness, and workplace etiquette .
  • Maintain employer databases, track placement outcomes, and publish regular MIS reports.
  • Explore cross-sector placement opportunities (beyond wellness) to maximize student employability.
  • Ensure retention and feedback mechanisms to strengthen employer satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

  • Graduate / MBA with 4–8 years of experience in placements, recruitment, or HR.
  • Strong industry network in South India.
  • Open to candidates from HR/Recruitment Consulting or Placement Aggregator backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Target-driven with proven ability to meet placement commitments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / MIS reporting .
