We are looking for a seasoned IT Procurement Manager to take on key responsibilities within our organization. This role will involve overseeing commercial and contractual aspects of the IT spend category, including developing and maintaining successful relationships with suppliers, peers, and internal business partners.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage Commercial and Procurement Activities: Oversee end-to-end commercial and procurement activities across all IT categories, including hardware, software, outsourcing services, cloud, and SAAS.
  2. Spend Categorization: Ensure accurate categorization of company expenses.
  3. Project Execution: Lead and execute strategic/tactical projects, apply proper sourcing approaches, draft detailed statements of work, and cover performance measures, KPIs, metrics, SLAs, acceptance criteria, commercials, risk/reward provisions, etc.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Manage senior stakeholders and establish effective working relationships.
  5. Procurement Process Expertise: Advise internal business partners on end-to-end procurement processes, policies, templates, RACI, deal risks, and possible mitigation steps as part of the procurement process or contracting.
  6. Risk Management: Proactively identify material, unmitigated business or contract risks on deals, articulate effectively to stakeholders, and find suitable solutions.
  7. Contract Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all applicable sourcing processes, policies, etc.
  8. Vendor Selection and Contract Awarding: Independently execute RFP/Rfq processes for assigned categories, negotiate contracts, select vendors, and award contracts.
  9. Category Strategy Implementation: Define and implement plans in line with category strategy, decision trees, playbooks, leverage appropriate tools, and consolidate supplier bases.
  10. Market Research: Conduct periodic market research for assigned categories, monitor market trends and supply/demand factors, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
  11. Communication and Relationship Building: Establish regular communications with key internal business partners, maintain strong client service, lead proactive contract renewal/expiry reviews, and re-source or amend as per internal strategy.
  12. Reporting and Data Analysis: Accurately collect and report project data, contracts concluded, expenditure, and financial impacts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8-12 Years of Experience: Significant experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably with expertise in Cloud Services.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and influencing skills at same and higher organizational levels.
  • Electronic Procurement Tools: Familiarity with electronic procurement tools (e.g., Ariba, Ivalua, PeopleSoft).
  • End-to-End Source/Procure-to-Pay Processes: Strong understanding of source/procure-to-pay processes and associated tools.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Strong risk management culture, ability to evaluate and mitigate potential business risks, and a solid understanding of supplier screening programs.
  • Business Acumen and Communication: Excellent business acumen, communication, and presentation skills, with experience using Excel pivot tables and PowerPoint to analyze and present data.
  • Engineering Background: An engineering degree is required for this role.
