Job Title:

Engineering Manager

Role Purpose:

We are seeking proactive engineering leaders with a strong track record of leadership and experience in driving project delivery.

The role will involve overseeing multiple projects, building and managing diverse teams, formulating strategies, and coordinating with other managers to drive business outcomes.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Delivering product and project commitments by participating in product roadmap discussions, providing inputs on design, modeling, and architectural decisions, and owning and driving project estimations and operations.
  2. Leading teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes by driving efficiency and productivity to produce high-quality output, creating designs that improve flexibility, functionality, and usability, and defining non-functional requirements (NFRs).
  3. Defining NFRs, building systems that meet requirements, performing design and code reviews, overseeing project logistics and resource allocation, using tools and techniques to enhance quality, and suggesting design and implementation methodologies.
  4. Collaborating with other team leaders and departments, building and developing team competence, mentoring team members, and preparing them for future roles.

What matters in this role:

Experience & Portfolio:

A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, around 7-15 years of total experience working on delivery, development, and team management, minimum 4-5 years of experience working with EVM, Android-related technology, frontend technologies like EMV knowledge, Android POS development experience, and good understanding of commonly used databases like SQL and NoSQL.

Technical skills & efficiency:

Personnel and project management skills, expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes, organizational, planning, and documentation skills, proficiency in explaining complex information to non-technical stakeholders, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools, and experience in stakeholder management and conflict resolution.

Communication & Ownership:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
  2. Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Comfortable with dynamic requirements and able to pivot recruitment strategies as needed.
