Operations Excellence Manager - Bus Manufacturing

This role leads the charge in driving operational excellence across bus manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute bus structure production, ensuring seamless execution of daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
  • Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization to maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as JPH, OEE, and downtime to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure quality adherence to dimensional accuracy, fit & finish, and welding standards.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to resolve line-level quality issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects.
  • Implement process improvements through Kaizen, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Lead team development, mentoring production supervisors and line staff, and conducting skill gap analysis to organize training programs.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Coordinate new product integration with R&D and technical services for successful model launches.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
  • 15-20 years of experience in automotive production domain expertise.
  • Bus/Coach Body Building, BIW, Assembly, EV certifications preferred.
