Cloud Specialist IV Job Description

The Cloud Specialist IV plays a vital role in monitoring alerts, responding to customer requests, working with the company services team, and resolving incidents within the cloud environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to and resolving monitoring alerts
  • Responding to and resolving requests from customers, partners, and the company services team
  • Working on Disaster Recovery failover testing and scheduled maintenance windows within the cloud environment
  • Documenting, recording, and updating incident details in ITSM tools
  • Developing and executing training plans for continuous improvement
  • Identifying process gaps and remediating accordingly
  • Quality audits/assurance and implementation
  • Spearheading timely resolution of Critical Incidents and Problems
  • Managing escalations within SLAs defined in the teams standard operating procedures
  • Coordinating with stakeholders and third-party vendors
  • Supporting and classifying incidents, assessing severity, impact, and risk
  • Allocating unresolved incidents to appropriate support groups
  • Monitoring and tracking incidents, reviewing progress, and keeping users informed
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Support or NOC
  • Expert knowledge of cloud technologies, SQL & CRM based applications
  • Expert knowledge of various monitoring tools like SolarWinds, BMC etc.
  • Expert knowledge of ITIL / ITSM framework & Process
  • Experience in leading small teams preferred
  • Experience in training and mentoring new joiners
  • Expert oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Adaptable to a 24/7 rotational shift model including night shifts
  • Ability to adapt to continuously changing procedures and environment
