Are you a seasoned cloud infrastructure professional seeking a new challenge?

We're looking for an experienced GCP specialist to join our team on a casual contract basis.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Professional, you will lead the evaluation and transformation of existing enterprise cloud setups, driving improvements in availability, scalability, security, and infrastructure automation.

With 4-15 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, specifically 3+ years on GCP, you'll assess client GCP environments, recommend improvements, and implement changes safely via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) where possible.

You'll work independently to design/modify architectures using GCP services, build and run workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and/or Compute Engine, containerise when sensible, tune autoscaling, configure Cloud SQL/Spanner/Memorystore/BigQuery as relevant, backup/restore, HA/DR patterns, set up CI/CD with policy checks and environment promotion, implement monitoring/alerting with Cloud Monitoring & Logging, SLOs/error budgets where appropriate, harden security (Security Command Center, IAM least-privilege, org policies, VPC Service Controls, private access), optimise costs (rightsizing, committed use/Autopilot, storage lifecycle, data egress patterns), and write concise runbooks, diagrams, and change notes clients can trust.

Requirements
  • Experience: 4-15 years in cloud infrastructure, 3+ years on GCP.
  • Skills: deep knowledge of VPC design, routing/NAT, load balancing, IAM, GKE/containers, Linux fundamentals, strong IaC skills (modules, workspaces, state management, pipelines), comfortable with Git workflows, experience introducing controls (org policies, folder/project structure, billing budgets/alerts, SCC).
  • Qualifications: excellent English oral communication skills, proven ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and deliver safely in regulated/enterprise contexts.
What You'll Bring
  • AWS familiarity and migration/portability experience.
  • Windows Server + IIS basics (for hybrid client estates), and/or database administration exposure.
  • SRE practices (SLOs, incident response, post-incident review).
  • Certs (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect/DevOps Engineer) are welcome but not required.
