Technical Operations Manager Job

About the Role:

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day technical operations of our fleet, ensuring that all vessels are seaworthy and compliant with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of vessels to ensure they are in good working order
  • Coordinate with onboard crew to ensure smooth vessel operations
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to reduce operating costs and improve fuel efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and SOLAS
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, nautical sciences)
  • 10-12 years of experience in the shipping industry, preferably as a Chief Engineer or in a similar role
  • Experience with vessel inspections, audits, and certifications
  • Strong understanding of technical operations and management principles
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
