Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in Node.Js, PostgreSQL, and JavaScript with a proven track record of delivering high-quality code.

About the Role
  • Leading and mentoring a team of 5-6 backend engineers ensuring high-quality code delivery adherence to best practices and timely project completion.
  • Hands-on development using TypeScript Node.Js and NestJs to build robust and scalable backend systems.
  • Proficient in managing databases PostgreSQL and MongoDB implementing efficient data storage and retrieval strategies.
  • Expertise in Elasticsearch and experience with Neptune and Gremlin to handle complex data structures and relationships.
  • Conducting code reviews enforcing coding standards and maintaining high-quality software.
  • Working closely with frontend teams designers and product managers to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals.
  • Planning tracking and reporting on project progress managing resources effectively to meet deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.Js PostgreSQL and JavaScript.
  • Strong experience in architecture and database design.
  • Proven experience leading a team of engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in scaling backend.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Prior experience in a similar lead role.
Good to Have

The following skills are desirable but not essential:

  • Experience with Gremlin Neptune MongoDB Elasticsearch TypeScript and BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with AWS and its cloud-based services.
