Product Director - Home Décor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our product direction, leveraging their business acumen, design expertise, and hands-on experience in inventory management, product sourcing, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role is responsible for strategizing and implementing seasonal and category-wise buying plans, analyzing sales trends and forecasting demand, maintaining trackers for vendor management, conducting trend and market research, and managing vendor development and negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement buying strategies to drive sales growth and maximize profitability.
  • Analyze sales trends, inventory movement, and forecast demand to optimize stock planning and minimize waste.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor management trackers to ensure timely payments, logistics, returns, and damages.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Conduct market research to identify relevant product assortments and stay ahead of competition.
  • Collaborate with marketing and ecommerce teams to develop effective product launches and campaigns.
  • Support design and content teams with updated catalogues and visual assets to enhance customer engagement.
Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of experience in Buying & Merchandising (preferably in home décor, furniture, or lifestyle retail).
  • Proficiency in Excel and inventory/merchandising systems (SAP, ERP, Wondersoft, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with B2C, experiential, or lifestyle retail formats preferred.
