Strategic Planning and Business Development

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Strategic Planning and Business Development Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, business development, and corporate strategy. They will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's strategic plan, identifying and evaluating potential mergers and acquisitions, and fostering a culture of innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing the company's strategic plan in alignment with the company's vision and mission.
  • Overseeing the execution of strategic projects and initiatives, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments, and providing insights and recommendations based on market analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and alliances, and leading due diligence processes and negotiations for corporate development activities.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation within the organization to drive growth, and overseeing the development of new products, services, and business models.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with expertise in financial modeling and business case creation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights to senior stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in tools like PowerPoint and Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to navigate and deliver results in ambiguous and fast-changing business environments.
  • Strategic mindset with a keen eye for detail and commercial implications, with a strong understanding of business strategy and operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BE | BTech in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • MBA from a Tier-1 institute (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, etc.).
  • 15 to 17 years of experience in strategic roles within the chemical or allied sectors.
  • Prior exposure to business development, corporate planning, or strategy consulting.
  • Experience in techno-commercial functions is a strong advantage.
