Job Overview:

  • Maintain the stability of software repositories through continuous updates, patches, and fixes.
  • Proficiency in Linux and expertise in bash scripting, C, and Python programming languages is required.
  • Familiarity with build system tools such as autotools, meson, ninja, cmake, make, pkg-config, scons, and experience with compiling software from source code is essential.
  • Knowledge of CVS and Git version control systems is necessary for effective collaboration and change management.
  • Able to understand and create Makefiles as needed.
  • Monitoring and staying up-to-date with security vulnerabilities is crucial.
  • Maintenance of changelogs and documentation is vital for knowledge sharing and transparency.
  • Providing bug fixes and debugging support using gdb when necessary.
  • Evaluation of changes and communication with upstream developers for solutions is key.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.
  • Fluent English language skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities are required.
