Job Title:

Accounts Payable Specialist

About this role:

We are looking for an efficient Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Explain and assist vendors with the accounts payable process
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Resolve any discrepancies in payment processes
  • Send payment requests to Finance on a timely basis
  • Generate and approve vendor invoices
  • Prepare payment record documents for audits

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly knowledge of Advanced Excel
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented individual
  • Able to work independently

Additional requirements:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping laws
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Good time management and organizational skills
