Job Description

An Operations Resilience Analyst is a pivotal role that involves leading the Operational Resilience Operations Team. This team's primary focus is on crisis management and business continuity.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting global and regional crisis chiefs in managing crisis information, training, exercising, and tracking lessons learned.
  • Maintaining and updating regional crisis management contact cards, email distribution lists, SendWordNow, and MS Teams.
  • Preparing for regional crisis exercises.

In addition to crisis management, the Operations Resilience Analyst will also oversee non-compliance with accountable managers, copying relevant regional OpRes leads as necessary.

The analyst will also be responsible for analyzing continuity risks, including concentration risks, single points of failure, and recovery capabilities against DWS Risk Appetite.

Furthermore, the Operations Resilience Analyst will support Important Business Service Managers in coordinating scenario analysis and stress testing for each IBS instance to ensure regulatory requirements are met.

The analyst will also coordinate and track remediation activities where scenario testing identifies capability gaps.

Additionally, the Operations Resilience Analyst will provide central advisory and support for DWS's adoption of ServiceNow OpRes/BCM modules.

They will also develop, maintain, and issue resilience-related risk reporting to ensure proactive business awareness for compliance and vulnerabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with a few years of professional experience in the Financial Services/Audit/Information Security sector, preferably at DWS/DB.

Key qualifications include:

  • Good knowledge of DWS operations and divisional operating models.
  • Ability to translate business strategic changes into areas of emerging risks to support mitigation.
  • Appreciation of the regulatory requirements for Operational Resilience (including BCM and Crisis Management).
  • Excellent analytical skills and structured approach.
  • Personal initiative, results orientation, and leadership qualities.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with broad sets of stakeholders within high-pressure dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication skills both within working groups and in presenting results.
  • Very good knowledge of the English language (spoken and written).
