Cybersecurity Expert Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Specialist to safeguard sensitive data and strengthen our security posture. The ideal candidate will develop and implement enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategies, frameworks, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust cybersecurity measures to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain situational awareness through continuous monitoring, threat detection, and response using SIEM and SOC processes.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and red team exercises to identify potential weaknesses.
  • Perform digital forensics, root cause analysis, and incident response lifecycle management to minimize business disruption.
  • Develop and enforce policies for data privacy, identity and access management (IAM/PAM), and data loss prevention (DLP).
  • Secure infrastructure across network, endpoint, application, database, and cloud environments.
  • Implement security controls for cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Manage and tune security tools such as firewalls, web application firewalls (WAF), intrusion detection systems/ingestion prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint detection and response (EDR), security information and event management (SIEM) systems, security orchestration automation and response (SOAR) platforms, cloud access security brokers (CASB), and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection solutions.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using DevSecOps practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (IRDAI, RBI, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, SOC2).
  • Conduct third-party/vendor risk assessments and ensure supply chain security.
  • Lead business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives from a security standpoint.
  • Drive security awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Certifications (one or more preferred): Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
  • CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP).
  • Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) certifications.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and provide timely resolution during security incidents.
