Job Title: Chief Legal Officer

Role Summary:

The Chief Legal Officer will be responsible for overseeing legal knowledge in Securities Law and Company Law.

This is a critical role within our organization, requiring an individual with specialist experience in listing applications, company compliance, and IPO processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing of listing applications in accordance with ICDR, LODR, PIT, and Takeover regulations.
  • Actions against non-compliant companies as per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Analysis of disclosures made by companies for surveillance alerts and coordination with the Surveillance team.
  • Automation of listing functions.
  • Coordination with the IT department for website disclosures and electronic filing platforms.
  • Coordination with the NSE team regarding commonly listed companies.
  • Proactive participation in SEBI committee meetings.
  • Thought leadership in recommending policy-level changes to SEBI.
  • Building relationships with the SEBI CFD team.
  • Overseeing the entire IPO process for SME Listings, including review of draft documents, basis of allotment, listing of securities, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • CS + LLB with exposure to listed company compliance.
  • Knowledge of SEBI LODR, ICDR, PIT, and SAST regulations.
  • Drafting and Interpretational Skills.
  • Effective Management Skills.
  • Data Analytics.
  • Experience from exchange background or Merchant banking.
  • Analytical capability.
  • Team management capability.
