Job Title: Chief Legal Director

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Legal Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal skills, including contract drafting and review, legal opinions, and negotiation and finalization.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and vet contracts for various agreements, including supply and service agreements, EPC agreements, transmission and utility contracts, international contracts, NDAs, MOUs, standard T&Cs, and financing contracts.
  • Legal Opinions: Provide detailed legal opinions on matters such as bidding strategy, right of way, transmission service agreements, share purchase agreements, indemnity claims, and contractual payment disputes.
  • Land and Title Due Diligence: Conduct land-related legal due diligence and title verification for project development, assessing risks associated with land procurement and right of way.
  • Bid Review and Support: Review final bid submissions, handle bid-related legal queries, and provide prompt clarifications to the bidding team to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Negotiation and Finalization: Engage in direct negotiations with external stakeholders and counterparties, finalize contracts by ensuring favorable legal positioning while maintaining business objectives.

  • Strong Legal Opinion Skills: Ability to provide detailed legal opinions on complex matters.
  • Effective Negotiation and Finalization Skills: Ability to negotiate and finalize contracts with external stakeholders.
