Job Title: Chief Legal Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to lead our in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling complex legal matters, with a strong background in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic legal advice on business matters.
  • Manage and resolve litigation and arbitration cases.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the insurance sector.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts.
  • Identify potential legal risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel as needed.
Requirements
  • Candidates must have leadership experience and direct interaction with the board of directors.
  • A degree in Law from a recognized university is essential.
  • Proven experience in handling legal matters in the insurance industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance laws and regulations is necessary.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to lead a team of legal professionals is crucial.
  • Solid understanding of commercial contracts and corporate law is required.
