The role of Head of Production is a key position within the apparel manufacturing unit, responsible for leading day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Production Planning and Target Achievement
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet production targets in alignment with customer orders and business commitments.
  • Monitor line-wise productivity and take corrective measures to address shortfalls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Operations Excellence and Process Improvement
  • Oversee end-to-end operations across production, quality, maintenance, and material flow.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage team members to suggest process improvements.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Ensure all products meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support regular in-line and end-line quality checks.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability and ownership among team members.
Cost Management and Resource Optimization
  • Analyze and optimize costs associated with manpower, machinery, and materials.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.
Team Development and Performance Management
  • Supervise and guide production supervisors, quality leads, and support staff.
  • Set clear expectations and goals for individual and team performance.
  • Foster open communication and feedback to drive growth and development.
