The role of Head of Information Security is pivotal in safeguarding an organization's information systems, networks, and data against internal and external threats.

Job Overview:

This strategic position entails establishing and maintaining a robust security vision, strategy, and program to ensure the protection of sensitive assets and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy, policies, standards, and procedures to mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced security architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption solutions, and other cutting-edge security technologies.
  • Lead the development and execution of targeted security awareness and training programs for all employees to foster a culture of security consciousness throughout the organisation.
  • Direct the identification, assessment, and mitigation of security risks across all aspects of operations, including applications, infrastructure, and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor and analyze security incidents and breaches, and coordinate incident response activities to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units, to integrate security requirements into business processes and systems development life cycles.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, industry trends, and best practices in cybersecurity, and assess their potential impact on the organization's security posture.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, and other external stakeholders on matters related to information security and compliance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership and the board of directors on the state of the information security program, including key metrics, risks, and initiatives.
