Electrical Design Lead Role

  • We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Design Lead to spearhead our electrical scope on projects.

Job Description:

  1. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Electrical Designer to take on a leadership role in developing 3D models and 2D drawings of various electrical systems for industrial facilities, including single-line diagrams of power systems, electrical equipment layouts, hazardous area classification drawings, interconnection & hook-up drawings, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
  2. The successful candidate will lead a team of younger designers and collaborate with the Lead Engineer to execute electrical detail design scopes on projects.
  3. Responsibilities include coordinating with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure clash-free system designs.
  4. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing assigned scopes within agreed schedules, budgets, and quality norms.
  5. This role also involves assisting more experienced engineers in preparing, coordinating, and reviewing deliverables for the discipline.
  6. Apart from these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to train new staff members on various tools and discipline practices.
  7. They will be expected to advance their career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization.
  8. A committed team player able to work independently is required for this position.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
  10. Good communication skills (verbal & written) and the ability to self-check and produce accurate work are crucial.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or ITI / NCTVT Electrical.
  • Minimum 8-15 years of experience in electrical detail design.
  • Experience working with 3D engineering tools like Smart Plant 3D (SP3D), Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD 2D, and Microstation.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, OneNote.
