Senior Firmware Engineer

Our organization is looking for an experienced Firmware Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge IoT devices. This role requires a hands-on engineer with expertise in embedded systems, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and firmware development. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize firmware for IoT devices, ensuring seamless integration and robust performance in diverse operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in an Agile firmware development environment to deliver innovative solutions for Serial, I2C, SPI, and Ethernet hardware modules.
  • Expert-level C/C++ coding skills.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and data theory.
  • Comprehension of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and practices.
  • Expertise in embedded systems development.
  • Knowledge of electronic concepts, topologies, and components.
  • Ability to read and understand advanced technical documentation and data.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to share innovative ideas, improve development processes, and achieve technical excellence.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and firmware issues, ensuring seamless hardware-software integration.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, integrating best practices into firmware development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in firmware development using C.
  • Proficient in Nordic Connect (Zephyr RTOS) and Nordic SDK.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in embedded systems, including memory management, data structures, algorithms, and networking.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a focus on embedded systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously in a distributed team setup.
