Embedded Software Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge AI/ML solutions for space-based applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, Linux, and containerization, with experience in working with NVIDIA and Xilinx platforms. Proficiency in C, C++, and Python is essential, as well as knowledge of Docker and containerized workflows.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing embedded software solutions for AI/ML workloads on edge devices, ensuring efficient and reliable performance. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into embedded systems and optimize their deployment on resource-constrained hardware.

This is a remote-first position, requiring excellent technical communication skills to collaborate with global teams and partner satellite operators. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, coordinate across time zones, and maintain clear documentation of configurations, workflows, and deployment practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement embedded software solutions for AI/ML workloads on edge devices.
  • Collaborate with Data Science teams to enable deployment of ML models on resource-constrained hardware.
  • Optimize ML model performance on edge devices.
  • Develop and maintain Edge AI development kits (NVIDIA Jetson, Xilinx platforms).
  • Interface with satellite payload hardware and ground systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 3–8 years of hands-on experience in embedded software development.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
  • Deep knowledge of Linux (system internals, drivers, kernel tuning).
  • Proven experience with Docker and containerized workflows.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, TensorRT, and Xilinx Vitis AI / OpenCL.
  • Familiarity with edge AI/ML workloads, model deployment, and performance optimization.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
