Area Sales Manager (ASM) - Vegetable Seeds

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as an Area Sales Manager for Vegetable Seeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve business targets in their assigned region.

  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and marketing, with a strong understanding of the vegetable seeds industry.
  • A bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets in the assigned region.
  • Manage and expand dealer, distributor, and retailer networks for vegetable seeds.
  • Conduct field trials and demonstrations to showcase product performance.
  • Organize and execute farmer meetings, field days, and promotional activities.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and work effectively on cash basis transactions.
  • Provide sales reports, market feedback, and demand forecasts to management.
  • Train and guide the sales team to improve productivity and achieve targets.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4-5 years in sales and marketing of vegetable seeds is mandatory.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English is a must (written and verbal).
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Hands-on experience in conducting field trials.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Proven track record of working on cash basis sales.
  • Basic Knowledge of MS Office.
