Leadership Finance Role

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Team Lead in overseeing the financial health of their organization, administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting bookkeeping, MIS reporting & AR/AP activities for US-based accounting with timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  • Ensure corporate budget and forecasting activities are managed effectively.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop efficient procedures and resource utilization while maintaining accuracy.
  • Advise team members on handling non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Collaborate with auditors for a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Maintain strict compliance with outlined processes and industry best practices.
  • Take ownership of work and team, ensuring accountability for meeting company obligations.
  • Manage staff scheduling, including work assignments, employee training, and breaks, overtime assignment, and backup for absent employees.
  • Provide effective, constructive, and timely feedback to team members, set performance standards, and help teams meet/exceed them.
  • Deliver training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Work with direct reports to establish goals and objectives, monitor progress, and advise on professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Familiarity with US GAAP, accounting procedures, taxation, and statutory/legal matters for core accounting and finance functions.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
