Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Optimizer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Industrial Engineering and experience in Process Planning, with a proven track record of optimizing production processes and improving efficiency.

Responsibilities include conducting thorough evaluations of product, process, and assembly hierarchies to identify areas for improvement, defining assembly processes that meet quality, safety, delivery, and ergonomics requirements, and implementing changes to improve productivity and efficiency.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing line balance, TAKT time, and cycle time planning, as well as analyzing data to inform strategic decisions. Additionally, they will need to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas clearly to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluation of Product, Process and Assembly hierarchy to achieve optimization of Hours per vehicle/ Cycle-time.
  • Conduct Product Study & Define assembly process keeping in consideration Quality, Safety, Delivery & Ergonomics.
  • Perform Line Balance / TAKT time / Cycle time planning.
  • Series implementation of product changes - change management.
  • Perform Build rate calculations for mix model variants.
  • Perform Manpower or head count calculations.
  • Time Study using MTM or MOST standards (MTM certification is desirable).
  • As process planner, suggest enhancements/improvement by comparing with earlier product-line.
  • Project management with responsibility for delivery, quality, time and innovation.
  • Knowledge and usage of industrial engineering Tools.
  • Knowledge of End-to-End assembly process.
  • Handling of Safety and Quality Relevant processes.
  • Creation of MIS and KPI reports.
  • Power BI Knowledge for creating the Dashboards.
  • Manpower Planning support with systems like Work force Planning.
  • Ergonomic analysis to perform product & Process assessments.
  • Knowledge of MS access tool for mv-analysis and MTM-QC Checks
  • Degree and qualification:
    • Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering
    • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly domain from automotive industry with very good understanding of assembly processes.
    • Experience with Ergonomic analysis (EAWS) is recommended.
  • Domain Skills:
    • Preferred core assembly plant experience.
    • Technical background in Assembly Planning and Digital Validation.
    • Good hands-on Experience & Exposure to General Assembly process and Problem resolution.
    • Software and System know how (e.g., DELMIA V5/ Process Simulate/ Vis mockup / Team center visualization/Human Jack etc.)
    • Experience of time study using MTM & MOST techniques is desirable.
    • Research oriented approach and idea generation skills to encounter problems
    • IT skills: Power BI, Knowledge of MS-Office, MS-access and having coding skills is desirable
    • Personal skills: Technical comprehension, Presentation Skills, pronounced goal and result orientation, customer orientation, Teamwork, communication skills, giving and receiving feedback. Open minded to address critical issues, errors and mistakes, structured, independent working, self-initiative and self-organization.
    • Musts: Willingness to be on site for impacts or rotating TM to cover continuous onsite support.
    • Desirable: German language skills (business fluent).
