Job Title: Senior Bridge Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team. As a senior engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of complex bridge projects.

About the Role:
  • You will be responsible for leading mid-scale project teams, overseeing the work of team members and ensuring projects are delivered on time.
  • You will develop high-quality technical reports that clearly communicate complex ideas and solutions.
  • You will understand the costs and implications of selecting complex design features and present findings to stakeholders.
  • You will present work at client meetings and deliver high-quality presentations that effectively communicate project progress and results.
  • You will apply broad technical experience and knowledge to check or critically review the work of all team members.
  • You will prepare and review project cost estimates for all packages of work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • You will conduct structural analysis and design of various structures, reviewing deliverables to ensure quality and consistency.
  • You will have a thorough understanding of international railway standards, codes of practice, and health and safety legislation.
  • You will possess detailed knowledge of multi-discipline designs and be competent in engineering software such as Staad Pro and LUSAS.
  • You will be proficient in dynamic and static analysis, developing schematic designs and detailed designs for small to large-scale projects.
  • You will check the work carried out by junior engineers and AutoCAD technicians, ensuring it meets quality standards.
  • You will ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned tasks between all disciplines.
  • You will verify that designs meet client requirements and comply with relevant codes of practice.
  • You will be responsible for compliance with WSP QA/QC procedures and implementation of procedures.
  • You will stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry and apply this knowledge in calculations and designs.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • You must be approaching towards attaining Chartered Engineering status.
  • You must hold a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (M.Tech/M.E/B.Tech/B.E.).
  • You must have 8+ years or above experience in bridge design from any consulting firm.
  • You must have experience working with software like LUSAS, MIDAS/Staddpro.
  • You must have a proven track record as a Team Leader, with experience working in a team environment.
  • You must demonstrate strong work and moral ethics.
