Job Overview:

The role of a Federal Contracts Compliance Specialist involves ensuring that all federal contracts are in compliance with relevant regulations. This requires a deep understanding of the FAR and DFARS, as well as excellent communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Review & Compliance
    • Review federal contract documents, task orders, and amendments to identify applicable clauses and obligations.
    • Support subcontractor due diligence and communicate required flow-down clauses.
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Prepare compliance trackers, audit files, and status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Maintain organized contract repositories and document management systems.
  • Audit & Monitoring Support
    • Assist with internal reviews and external audits (e.g., DCAA, DCMA).
    • Track deliverables, certifications, and contract obligations to ensure timely compliance.
  • Proposal & Pre-Award Support
    • Review solicitations (RFPs/RFQs) for relevant FAR/DFARS clauses.
    • Prepare compliance matrices and checklists for proposal teams.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
    • Coordinate with contracts, compliance, legal, and procurement teams.
    • Provide data, documentation, and compliance insights as requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Political Science, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in contracts, compliance, or coordinating with legal teams on contract terms, clauses, and risk.
  • Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and U.S. federal contracting principles.
  • Familiarity with compliance areas (EEO, Service Contract Act, export controls, cybersecurity requirements).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Prior experience supporting U.S. federal contracts in an offshore/outsourcing environment.
