Program Director Role
  • Develop strategic plans to align the BCA program with industry trends and student needs, ensuring a competitive edge in the job market.
  • Effectively manage departmental resources and allocate them for program development, optimizing budget utilization and improving efficiency.
  • Implement strategies to enhance student learning outcomes and program effectiveness, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment within the department, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Oversee student advising and career counseling services for BCA students, providing personalized support and guidance.
  • Represent the BCA program at college/university events and industry conferences, building partnerships and advancing the institution's reputation.
  • Manage and motivate departmental staff to ensure efficient operation, recognizing and rewarding excellence and innovation.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in computer applications and educational pedagogy, applying knowledge to improve teaching and learning.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Computer Science and Application / Information Technology, or a related field (PhD / NET / SET preferred), demonstrating expertise and commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience teaching at the undergraduate level in computer applications, showcasing ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role within a higher education institution (HOD, Dean, etc.) is highly desirable, highlighting capacity for strategic planning and team management.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in computer applications education, staying abreast of industry developments and applying insights to improve teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students and faculty, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ensuring efficient operation and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using relevant computer applications and educational technologies, applying digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
