Program Management Role

The position involves overseeing the delivery of software engineering projects and programs, ensuring successful outcomes. You will work closely with various teams to ensure understanding of priorities, project visibility, execution, and targeted results.

You will be responsible for managing program statuses, financial forecasts, risk tracking, team member communications, and process compliance.

This role requires collaboration with engineering, product, and internal business teams to achieve project goals and objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing program strategies and plans
  • Defining and managing scope, goals, and roadmaps for software programs
  • Leading program-level planning and prioritization in collaboration with engineering and product leadership
  • Collaborative Execution
  • Coordinating efforts across multiple software development teams and technical team members
  • Facilitating milestone planning and progress tracking
  • Ensuring cross-team understanding, visibility, and transparency throughout the program lifecycle
  • Delivery Management
  • Monitoring and reporting on project and program progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Promoting delivery excellence through adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and internal processes
  • Resolving delivery blockers, managing interdependencies, and escalating when necessary
  • Team member Communication
  • Promoting communication between engineering, product, and team members
  • Providing detailed updates on status, risks, and program decisions to all levels, including executives
  • Aligning all team members around important outcomes and delivery expectations
  • Risk and Issue Management
  • Managing project and program issues
  • Maintaining risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management in software engineering or a related technical field
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with project tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or equivalent
