About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Virtual Desktop Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, assessing existing infrastructure, and designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
  • They will also integrate Citrix products with Azure virtual desktop services, configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage, and create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.
  • In addition, they will design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls.
  • They will also optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience, monitor and tune resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement end-to-end virtual desktop solutions.
  • Integrate Citrix products with Azure virtual desktop services.
  • Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage.
  • Implement identity and access management strategies.
  • Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, system errors, and network connectivity problems.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Several years of experience as a Citrix Architect or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and virtual networks.
  • Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud.
  • Experience in network design, including connectivity options, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, including Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
