Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

You will provide first- and second-level technical support to global employees, covering all company levels.

About the Role

  • Timely operational and technical support for personal computers and troubleshoot domestic computer hardware and software issues.
  • Prompt and effective troubleshooting, resolution, and documentation of problems and service requests.
  • Develop accurate installation and configuration procedures for standard and non-standard software packages.
  • Manage software and hardware deployment and rollout.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of assets.
  • Create and maintain a knowledge base to support users.
  • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to ensure network asset security.
  • Update problem management databases with timely and meaningful information according to desktop service levels.
  • Gather and log relevant issue information using provided tools and collective team knowledge.
  • Utilize the knowledge base to assist in troubleshooting efforts. Share experiences with other team members.
  • Assist in deploying desktop PCs and peripherals.
  • On-board new employees with GIT orientation to computer assets.
  • Respond to daily voice mail and email.
  • Develop working knowledge of desktop applications and OS software supported by Desktop Services.
  • Troubleshoot and assist in using supported software.
  • Perform various duties assigned by the Client Solutions Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Desktop and/or Helpdesk support.
  • Prior work-related experience with current standard desktop software (Microsoft Office, Windows).
  • Fluent English language skills. Additional languages are beneficial.
  • Experience working with international clients in the USA and Europe.
  • Proficient Microsoft office knowledge and SAP knowledge is an asset.
  • Experience with Desktop or Help Desk support is beneficial.
