Software Lead

We are seeking a skilled software lead to oversee programming support across various projects, clients, and therapeutic areas. This role will involve manipulating large databases, generating reports, and implementing complex logic using SAS and SQL programming skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manipulate large databases and generate reports for analysts to explore real-world healthcare data assets.
  • Implement complex logic in SAS and SQL programming languages.
  • Develop complex analysis datasets from various data sources with attention to outliers and errors.
  • Build patient cohorts and evaluate patient healthcare events in large databases using observational research methods like epidemiology and statistical methods.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in R and SQL programming.
  • Proficiency in Oncology databases such as Flatiron, COTA.
  • Good understanding of Oncology-specific analyses like Line of Therapy algorithms, Survival analysis, and different statistical models.
  • Experience with R Shiny or Instant Health Data (IHD) is preferable.
  • Database programming using SQL.
  • Minimum 7-8 years SAS statistical programming experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or other subject with high statistical content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or other subject with high statistical content.
  • Training or experience using the OMOP common data model.
  • Training or experience with Python, R, Databricks, or other cloud-based software.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Training or experience in epidemiological methods.
