Senior Engineering Manager Job Posting

The Senior Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day application development projects and software engineering for our organization. This entails directly managing software engineers, collaborating with architects on major organizational initiatives, and delivering on commitments to stakeholders.

This position requires a strong understanding of integration approaches and architectures, as well as experience with cloud-native solutions, microservices architecture, and API orchestration architecture. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of technologies such as Java, NoSQL, Spring boot, and WebFlux, and be familiar with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, monitoring, tracing, service mesh, and API platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Application Development Oversight: Manage and oversee the implementation of application development standards, processes, and tools.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with direct reports to ensure consistency of service delivery across client groups.
  • Compliance and Monitoring: Facilitate compliance with the standard set of application development tools and processes that drive consistency and predictability throughout the SDLC for all client groups.
  • Communication: Communicate important application development policy changes that affect operations.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years of application development leadership experience.
  • Tech Expertise: In-depth knowledge of integration approaches and architectures, cloud-native solutions, microservices-architecture, and API orchestration architecture.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in technologies such as Java, NoSQL, Spring boot, and WebFlux, and experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, monitoring, tracing, and service mesh.
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Relevant technology certifications and proven management experience in strategic planning and budgeting within one or more business groups.
