Project Controls Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Engineer to join our team. As a successful Project Controller, you will display strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

This role involves working in Program Management as a Project Control Engineer, developing and updating Schedules in Primavera P6 according to procedure. You will also be responsible for solving P6 related issues, identifying critical paths, discussing with PMs and finalizing schedules, etc.

  • Work on cost management, including setting up CBS, cost tracking sheets, analyzing cost variance, CPI, performance analysis, and spreadsheet updates.
  • Review invoices of contractors as needed.
  • Manage change requests, ensuring compliance with established program standards and processes, coding of change records, etc.
  • Develop document management procedures, creating necessary documents required in projects, and workflow development in MS Visio or other software.
  • Create dashboards using Power BI with schedule and cost data integration.
  • Work on risk management tools, including Risk Registers, RBS, and Simulation tools.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, be proactive, and demonstrate a smart work attitude. Additionally, you should be able to produce high-quality project control deliverables within deadlines and execute multiple agile projects under typical programs/portfolios.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering stream.
  • Total experience: 2-8 years.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 advanced features and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of EPC deliverable sequence.
  • Working knowledge of advance Excel is preferred.
  • Interest in learning and developing project controls capabilities further.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of project management knowledge areas and planning terminologies.
  • Ability to work in a 2nd shift (12:30 pm to 9:00 PM) for coordinating with the US office according to project requirements.
