Job Title: Systems Infrastructure Strategist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Infrastructure Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize our on-premise datacenter and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing Infrastructure Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, and develop strategies to improve or leverage these systems.
  • Purchase and Inventory Management: Negotiate the purchase of software, hardware, and other IT supplies as approved by management, and manage inventory of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Team Management: Manage outsourced teams for daily operations and activities.
  • Problem Solving: Provide solutions to complex business problems for areas of responsibility where analysis of situations requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Disaster Recovery: Perform live DR activities and DR drills periodically.
  • Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of server, storage, database, Operating Systems (Windows and Linux) and network.

Requirements:

  • Education: B Tech / BE / MCA / MBA
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience with infrastructure management for both on-premise datacenter and cloud infra.
  • Skills: Program and project management expertise, planning and executing infra-related projects, in-depth hands-on knowledge of infra such as server, storage, database, Operating Systems (Windows and Linux) and network, very good knowledge and exposure on cloud computing.
  • Functional Competencies: Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments, and transformation strategy, holistic understanding of all data center functions (production operations, change control, DR/business recovery, helpdesk, systems management and facilities), experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons and migration consideration.
