Vacuum Furnace Design Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to head our vacuum furnace design team.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of vacuum furnace design, engineering, and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in the design, development, and implementation of new vacuum furnace products and technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with experience in vacuum technology, heat treatment, and materials science. They will also have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of technical professionals.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and manufacturing, to develop and implement new product offerings and improve existing processes. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading a team of engineers and technicians in the design, development, and implementation of new vacuum furnace products and technologies.
• Developing and implementing new product offerings and improving existing processes through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Providing technical guidance and support to team members and other stakeholders.

Required qualifications and competencies include:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong background in vacuum technology, heat treatment, and materials science.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and guide a team of technical professionals.
• Hands-on aptitude with an understanding of standard design practices and manufacturing techniques.
• Advanced skills in 2D & 3D CAD software, preferably AutoCAD and Inventor or Solid Works.
• Knowledge and application of numerical modelling in solid mechanics.
• Thermal exchange calculation / Computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
• Finite Element Method (FEM) and Thermo-mechanical simulations analysis.
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, vacuum process systems, electrical components, and automation.
