Job Title: Contract Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a unique blend of skills and experience, enabling them to excel in the challenging position of contract management.

  • Key Skills:
  • Effective Cost Management and Communication skills are essential in this role. The ability to manage costs effectively and communicate with stakeholders is crucial to the success of the project.
  • Good knowledge & experience in standard method of measurements is necessary for accurate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Sound contracts administration and Management skills are required to ensure timely issue of notifications and claims submissions.
  • Capable of monitoring Cost control techniques to prevent overruns and delays.
  • Good at project Commercial Management skills, including claim preparation and negotiation.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate project documentation from inception to completion, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Be familiar with Employer's requirements based on Conditions of Contract and project schedule, providing a clear understanding of the project scope and objectives.
  • Identify changes to project scope, schedule, and cost, and ensure timely issue of notification to employer, preventing potential disputes and delays.
  • Track submitted claims letters individually, and prepare contractual justification referring to contractual conditions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare contractual reply/request to employer for claim approval, facilitating smooth communication and resolution.
  • Prepare Claim documents, including detailed claim statement for submission to DAAB, providing a comprehensive understanding of the claim and its supporting evidence.
  • Prepare presentation of claim from start of occurrence to present status of claim to Advocate, ensuring clear communication and representation.
  • Update claim status to RO/HO, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the process.
  • Coordinate with project team and get required details/prepare necessary inputs as required by Ho/RO team, fostering collaboration and effective decision-making.
  • Prepare Comprehensive EOT application, substantiate with contemporary records and references, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the project timeline and objectives.
  • Ensure all claims raised by project team are substantiated with Contract entitlements in accordance with Conditions of clause, upholding the principles of fairness and equity.
  • Provide input to DAAB committee and advocate for arbitration until issue is resolved, promoting effective dispute resolution and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Meet deadline on time without delay, able to work under pressure, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Work closely with reporting manager and prepare additional reports/work as directed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
